The Hertz Corporation has announced the launch of Hertz 24/7, a new rental service that is available any time of the day or night in the US, France, Germany, the UK, Spain and Australia, with plans to be in more than 2 000 locations by the end of the year. There are no plans at this stage for it to be available in South Africa.
Users sign in on the site then ‘Click. Swipe. Go!’ via their laptops or mobile phones in a 24/7 reservation process on hertz247.com or hertz.com. Once reserved, the car can be collected at any time by swiping the 24.7 key fob against the reader on the windshield to unlock the doors. The keys are tied to the dashboard.
“Hertz is reinventing the car-rental industry by putting the rental process in the hands of consumers. Technology-enhanced vehicles will be available close to where customers live or work, making it easier than ever to reserve and quickly pick up a rental vehicle at the customer’s convenience,” says Hertz chairman and ceo, Mark P. Frissora.
