Travelinfo has launched its newly redesigned platform, introducing an upgraded experience aimed at making supplier information easier for South African travel agents to access, navigate and use.
Originally launched in 1989, Travelinfo has become one of the South African travel trade’s longest-standing supplier information platforms, providing agents with access to operational information, supplier contacts, policies, specials, documentation and product updates across the travel industry.
Linda van der Pol, Sales Director at Travelinfo, who has been involved with the platform for almost its entire existence, said the system continued to play an important role within the travel trade.
“Travelinfo is a unique database system that has established itself as an important and reliable tool to assist agents in their daily operations, while also helping suppliers communicate with the travel agent community efficiently and effectively,” said Van der Pol.
The updated platform forms part of Travelinfo’s ongoing focus on providing the trade with a centralised and trusted source of supplier information. For travel agents, the platform is designed to reduce the time spent searching across multiple supplier websites, emails and systems by bringing supplier information together into one regularly updated environment.
Supplier information is maintained and updated by a dedicated local team, helping ensure that content remains relevant, accurate and aligned to the needs of the South African travel trade.
For suppliers, Travelinfo provides a direct channel into the South African travel trade, helping companies position their products, updates and operational information in front of active travel sellers and planners.
The platform also assists suppliers in reducing reliance on large internal support structures and call centres by enabling agents to access operational and product information in a self-service environment.
The redesign includes improved navigation, a refreshed mobile-friendly interface and enhancements intended to make supplier content easier to discover and maintain.
To celebrate the launch, Travelinfo will also introduce a six-week Treasure Hunt campaign featuring daily supplier competitions and more than R150 000 worth of prizes for participating agents.
The Treasure Hunt campaign starts on Friday at 17h00 within the Agents Only area of Travelinfo, with full competition details and Terms and Conditions available on the platform.
