The World Travel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA) held its bi-annual board meeting over two days in Madrid earlier this year to discuss the management of issues that affect travel industry professionals across the world and to share common problem-solving strategies.
At the meeting, WTAAA agreed to encourage governments to take steps to increase the flow of travellers around the world by streamlining visa processes. “Inconsistent and costly visa procurement procedures impose unnecessary barriers to travellers, and thereby inhibits global economic growth,” WTAAA chair Peter Barlow.
“Too many countries still require travel visas that are often time-consuming and costly,” Peter told Travel Market Report in an interview.
