Air Belgium appoints local GSA

Air Belgium (KF) has appointed Air Promotion Group SA (Pty) Ltd (APG), a company in the Holiday Holdings stable, as its exclusive GSA in South Africa and Namibia.

Greg Fuller, APG Country Director in South Africa, said under the new agreement APG would provide sales, marketing and reservation services to the airline, as well as full travel agent support.

Air Belgium will operate scheduled online services to both Johannesburg and Cape Town, with a three-class Airbus A330neo, effective from September 15.

In March this year, Air Belgium said it would operate a seasonal service between September and March, of two scheduled flights a week from Brussels to Johannesburg and two to Cape Town. One Cape Town flight is direct, the other is linked to the Johannesburg flight.

“Our local APG company currently provides full GSA services and various other outsourced service solutions to 25 foreign airline clients in South Africa. Holiday Holdings and its associated companies is the longest serving specialist, dedicated airline representation organisation in the country, with more than 40 years’ experience. We have a team of highly qualified executives who oversee all aspects of our city centre and airport operations. The addition of Air Belgium to our client portfolio is a most welcome development and we are excited about maximising the market potential for this important new online client” said Fuller.
