Air Mauritius is to introduce a new product in economy class
called ‘standard seats’ where
passengers pay to book a specific seat. This is bold">in addition to exit row seats. The charge applies when a seat is reserved
prior to check-in on MK-operated
flights for travel from October 27. Once check-in opens, seat
reservation is free of charge, whether online or at the airport.

The product applies to economy-class passengers booked in
the following RBDs: L, Q, M, O, X, B, and E. The service is available on
selected routes from Mauritius to JNB, CPT, DUR, BKK, PER, KUL, SIN, BOM/DEL,
HKG, GVA, LHR and CDG/AMS.

Prices are per passenger and per sector (flight segment).

Kestrelflyer gold and silver card holders, passengers booked
in RBDs YKHSTUV, groups booked in RBD G, families travelling with infants or
children, unaccompanied minors, patients travelling for medical treatment, deportees,
stretcher cases, and passengers with reduced mobility will continue to benefit
from free advance seat reservation.
