Effective May 13, Qatar Airways resumed its double-daily flights to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The reintroduction of the Abu Dhabi service expands Qatar’s operations in the UAE to three destinations, alongside Dubai and Sharjah.
The flight schedules are as follows:
- QR1044 departs Doha at 02h15 and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 04h25. QR1045 departs Abu Dhabi at 05h45 and arrives in Doha at 05h55.
- QR1054 departs Doha at 19h30 and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 21h40. QR1055 departs Abu Dhabu at 01h15 and arrives in Doha at 01h20.
Virgin accelerates Starlink roll-out
Virgin Atlantic has announced an accelerated rollout of Starlink free, high-speed Wi-Fi across its entire fleet.
The airline began introducing Starlink connectivity on its Airbus A350 fleet from May 2026, with all A350s to be connected by early northern summer.
The programme will now extend across the Boeing 787 and Airbus A330neo fleets, with full fleet coverage anticipated in 2027.
Air Europa launches ON upgrades
Air Europa has launched its Air Europa ON initiative, which will enhance the passenger experience on its flights.
The initiative will enhance aspects such as comfort, the range of on-board services and the gastronomic experience on Air Europa’s short-, medium- and long-haul flights.
Business-class passengers will be offered satellite Wi-Fi connectivity, a new set of amenities, a new drinks menu and exclusive transport to the aircraft at Madrid-Barajas airport. In economy class, the on-board offering is being expanded through an updated and enhanced provision of the two meal services on long-haul flights.
