Singapore Airlines (SQ) will increase frequencies across several key international routes:
The airline will increase its flights as follows:
- Singapore-Barcelona: from two to five weekly direct flights, effective July 1 to September 3.
- Singapore-Taipei: from 14 to 18 weekly flights, effective March 29 to May 31.
- Singapore-Cairns: from four to five weekly flights, effective July 7 to September 22.
- Singapore-Bangkok: from six to seven daily flights, effective March 29.
- Singapore-Yangon: from seven to ten weekly flights, effective March 30.
- Singapore-Surabaya: from 19 to 21 weekly flights, effective March 29.
- Singapore-Colombo: ten weekly flights, effective March 29 to April 30, and increasing to fourteen weekly flights effective May 1.
SQ will be using the Airbus A350 for the first time on its Singapore-Doha route, effective March 20 to October 24. It will also be deploying the Boeing 777-300er on its Singapore-Amsterdam route.
El Al offers free cancellations
El Al has launched new complimentary fare flexibility for passengers flying until March 17.
Called ‘Fly with Confidence’, the new benefit offers all El Al passengers the option to cancel their ticket and receive a full-value credit voucher at no additional cost.
Free cancellations are available to passengers with business, premium and economy tickets. The benefit does not apply to economy LITE tickets, award tickets, group bookings or tickets operated by another carrier.
If any changes are made to the ticket to dates outside the promotion period, the cancellation and credit benefit cannot be redeemed free of charge.
Flying Blue launches Flying Blue Experiences
Flying Blue, the Air France-KLM Group's loyalty programme, has launched Flying Blue Experiences, offering premium experiences to all Flying Blue members.
Members are now able to use their Flying Blue miles to access major events venues, including:
- Accor Arena (Paris), with access to a VIP box for concerts and sporting events. Members with Silver status and above will also enjoy fast lane access to all events.
- Stade de France (Paris), with access to a VIP box for concerts and sporting events, including the opening match of the Six Nations Rugby Championship between France and Ireland.
Other experiences will gradually be introduced.
UX introduces new business-class menus
Air Europa has upgraded its business-class dining options on its medium-haul routes. The menu has been designed by Mario Sandoval, chef of the two-star Michelin restaurant, Coque.
The airline is also continuing its collaboration with Martín Berasategui, three-star Michelin chef, for business-class menus on its long-haul flights.
