A snapshot of the week's airline news

SA Airlink drops fuel surcharge
SA AIRLINK has reduced fuel surcharges as of February 9. The
carrier has reduced the fuel levy ‘YQ’ on the GDS following the
recent fall in oil prices. Karin Murray, marketing and sales manager,
said while the reduction in the price of jet fuel did not correlate
directly with the fall in oil price, airlines had enjoyed some reprieve.
The reduced fuel levy will amount to a saving in the overall airfare.
FlySafair and Mango have also dropped their fares in accordance
with lower fuel charges.
