Airlines cancel flights to Dubai

Due to partial airspace closures in the UAE and heightened tensions in the region, several international airlines have cancelled or delayed their Dubai flight resumption dates.

KLM

On May 6, KLM announced the extension of its suspension on its Dubai flights until June 28.

Initially, the airline was meant to resume its Dubai flights on June 14.

However, it noted that the current circumstances in the region were still a cause for concern.

Singapore Airlines

On May 7, Singapore Airlines extended the suspension of its Dubai flights until August 2, due to geopolitical tensions.

The airline’s Dubai flight suspension was to end on June 1.

The affected services are SQ494, which operates from Singapore to Dubai, and return flight SQ495.

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic will not be returning to Dubai in northern winter 2026/27, as initially planned, according to Simple Flying.
