Work has begun on a runway at Catania airport today and will continue until March 20.
Alitalia has thus reduced the number of daily connections between Catania and Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Venice and Bologna during this period.
The airline has re-booked affected passengers on to other flights during the day. Customers also have the option of changing their reservations without penalty or requesting a refund.
