AmaWaterways has revealed a new land package in Alexandria, designed to complement its popular Nile cruises.

The Alexandria Land Package, available from September, is a three-night post-cruise excursion that guides travellers on a journey, with two nights in Alexandria and one night in Cairo, following the 11-night Secrets of Egypt and the Nile itinerary.

Guests will stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Alexandria and explore the city’s sites, including Roman antiquities, ancient catacombs, the restored 15th-Century fortress citadel of Qaitbay, and Wadi El Natrun, one of Egypt’s most sacred Coptic pilgrimage destinations. The package concludes with a one-night stay at Le Méridien Cairo Airport Hotel for added convenience before international departure.

The package includes daily breakfast at the hotel, city tours and excursions, transfers and luggage service between the hotel and river cruise ship.

AmaWaterways is represented by Cruises International in the South African market.
