■ Collin
Austen has
been promoted
to business
development
executive at
Club Travel.
Collin started
at Club Travel
in 2006 as a company
co-ordinator, before moving
on to franchise development,
technical champion and new
business development for the
Club Travel Corporate division.
In his new role he will focus on
business development for key
clients.
■ Llewellyn
Joorst has been
appointed food
and beverage
manager for
the Townhouse
Hotel. Llewellyn
has 15 years
of industry experience, having
worked at some of the
country’s top hotels, including
Southern Sun Hotel and
the Steenberg Hotel in the
Constantia Winelands.
■ Nicolene
Kotze has
joined
Steenberg
Estate as
hospitality sales
and marketing
manager. She
will be responsible for the
ve-star Steenberg Hotel, nedining
restaurant, Catharina’s,
and Bistro Sixteen82.
■ Mark Sawkins has joined
BON Hotels as operations
director. Mark has been
involved in the industry for 30
years, and was appointed gm
of Hotel Lippoldsberger Hof in
Germany at the age of 19. He
later moved to South Africa to
take up a position at Mount
Nelson in Cape Town. During
his career he has worked with
both local and international
hotel groups, including
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts,
Sun International, Southern
Sun and the Viceroy Luxury
Hotel Group
