BA Comair rings in the changes

TO accommodate the greater demand for sunny skies during winter months, British Airways Comair (BAC) has introduced two additional return flights daily between Johannesburg and Durban. This brings the airline's total frequency to 10 return flights daily.
The winter flight schedule will continue until October this year, says public relations officer, Mary Smith.
Other changes at the airline include the extension of its catering contract with well-known food emporium, Woolworths.
According to Smith, the introduction of Woolworths' snacks and cold meals on Traveller Class flights out of Johannesburg elicited an overwhelmingly positive response.
"Ninety-nine percent of the response forms indicated that the catering was rated 'excellent' in terms of freshness, quality, presentation and taste."
As a result, the programme has been extended to include breakfasts and hot meals in both its Traveller and Club (business) classes.
To date, over 80 000 passengers have enjoyed the new Woolworths in-flight catering, and Smith says this number will treble over the next two months.
