Brazil to get new cruise port

Brazilian developer, Grupo Peralta, has announced plans to build a new mega-cruise port in Praia Grande that would supplement the capacity of the nearby Santos cruise port.

According to Seatrade Cruise News, the Litoral Plaza Port is set to go up next to the Litoral Plaza Shopping centre. The double-berth pier would be capable of accommodating two ships of up to 362 metres.

The terminal, which will have capacity for about 1,3 million passengers per year, will be located in the shopping mall complex with a tunnel connecting to the pier.
