The Department of Home Affairs says its online applications portal, eHomeAffairs, will not be available for new online applications for passports or smart ID cards. The service will, however, resume on Monday, March 18.
This is due to systems maintenance being implemented during this time, according to the South African Government News Agency.
All other services, including smart ID cards and passports, will be available at Home Affairs front offices across the country.
