Breaking News: Ethiopia lifts State of Emergency

06 Jun 2018 - by The Editor
Comments | 0

Yesterday (June 5), Ethiopia lifted the State of Emergency
that has been in place since February 16.

However, the African Travel and Tourism Association (Atta)
cautions that protests and demonstrations can occur at short notice in Addis Ababa
and other cities.

Travellers are advised to remain vigilant and avoid protest
action, as it can become violent.

In the case that demonstrations do break out, travellers are
encouraged to follow the advice of local authorities.
