Cake, high tea and flowers draw guests

THIS year, the successful September/October Botanical Art Classes at Orient Express Hotels' Mount Nelson and Westcliff Hotels - in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively - will feature the added attraction of a Botanical Tea.
The hotels' executive chefs will create unusual botanical delicacies such as Rooibos tea mousse cake, honey and lavender muffins, rosewater scones and floral petit fours.
The Mount Nelson will also hold a "Fynbos Dinner" - so named after the plants that grow profusely at the Cape Coast - which will feature an informative address on plant origins by a well-known keynote speaker from the University of Stellenbosch.
