Carnival Cruise Line has announced new 2027/28 sailings for Carnival Sunshine that will see the ship visit its first-ever African ports and new European ports.
Between May and October 2027, Sunshine will take travellers on a series of Mediterranean and North African cruises that will see the ship make its first African port calls in La Goulette, Tunisia, and Tangier, Morocco.
The itineraries also include new European ports such as Bari, Italy; Bar, Montenegro; and Ajaccio, France. In addition to new destinations, Carnival Sunshine will return to several ports not visited by the cruise line for a number of years, giving guests the chance to rediscover classic favourites such as Genoa, Salerno, Palermo and Catania in Italy; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; and Izmir, Turkey.
A highlight of the season is a special solar eclipse cruise departing July 25, 2027 from Barcelona, positioning the ship along the path of maximum visibility for the celestial event on August 2, 2027. The itinerary will feature themed programming and onboard activities celebrating the eclipse, and includes visits to Marseilles, France; Genoa, Salerno, and Catania, Italy; Valletta, Malta; and La Goulette, Tunisia.
