Carnival tightens rules for young pax

Carnival Cruise Line has revised its accommodation policy for minors. Passengers aged 14 or younger must now be booked in the same or connecting cabin with a relative or guardian who must be at least 25 years old.

Passengers between the ages of 15 to 17 may be separated from a relative or guardian by up to three state rooms. While this is no different to the previous minor accommodation policy, these minors must now be linked and cross-referenced on the reservation to their accompanying relatives or guardians.

For passengers between the ages of 18 and 20, there are no cabin restrictions but their reservations must also be linked to a relative or guardian.

Passengers must be at least 21 years old to travel on their own. The exceptions to this rule are legally married couples who are younger than 21 and qualified military personnel aged 18 to 20.
