Celebrity Edge arrives in Florida

Celebrity Edge has arrived at Port Everglades’ Terminal 25 in Hollywood, Florida, following its first 15-day transatlantic crossing.

The arrival was followed by a grand opening ceremony in the new terminal attended by brand executives as well as Broward County and City of Hollywood officials.

Celebrity Edge embarked on a6 437km transatlantic voyage from the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, on November 4, with more than 1 400 crew members on board. Along the way, the ship visited the Azores and Freeport in the Bahamas.

The ship begins its inaugural season sailing alternating seven-night Western and Eastern Caribbean cruise itineraries, with the maiden voyages departing on December 9 and December 16 respectively. In spring of 2019, it crosses the Atlantic again for seven- to 11-night Mediterranean cruises visiting cities such as Barcelona and Rome.

Celebrity Edge will be joined by its sister ship, Celebrity Apex, in 2020, and two additional ships in the Edge Series will follow in 2021 and 2022.
