Following the shutdown of Thomas Cook Group operations, subsidiary Condor Airlines has released a statement saying it will continue to operate. Meanwhile, Thomas Cook UK Airlines’ flights have been removed from the GSA’s system.
The local GSA for the airlines, Aviareps, confirmed this to eTNW. Gm for Southern Africa, Charmaine Thome, said for now the refund process for MT flights is handled by Civil Aviation Authority in UK. Please see here:

Condor Airlines, Charmaine confirmed, was operating flights as usual, with the airline still planning to increase Cape Town flights from a three weekly to a four weekly schedule effective October 28.
“Condor Flugdienst GmbH and its subsidiaries currently have the financial means to continue flight operations. Furthermore, we have applied for a state bridging loan. We can continue to pay for the services we need to continue flights operations from the funds of the Condor Flugienst GmbH entity,” advised the airline in a statement.
Condor Airlines operates a seasonal service between Cape Town and Frankfurt between September and April while Thomas Cook UK Airlines has been operating seasonal flights between Cape Town and London Gatwick Airport between December and March for the last three years.
Thomas Cook Group filed for bankruptcy on September 23, leaving hundreds of thousands of travellers stranded.
