Club Med’s debut in South Africa through its highly anticipated development in KwaZulu Natal, originally called Club Med Tinley, has been officially renamed Club Med South Africa Beach and Safari.

The resort will open in KwaZulu Natal in 2026. The name reflects what the resort hopes to offer guests: a combination of a beach resort and a safari experience, leveraging the best of what the KZN landscape has to offer.

The resort was announced in September last year, with construction starting at the beginning of the year.

Club Med South Africa Beach and Safari will provide panoramic views of the beach and coastal dunes of the North Coast while giving visitors access to stay on a Big Five game reserve, located three hours from the resort.

The five-star resort will feature a spa, fitness centre, yoga school and land and water sports, with Club Med’s first surf school.
