UK airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, are waiving change fees for customers, offering more flexibility as travellers reconsider their travel plans due to COVID-19.
Virgin Atlantic will waive the flight date change fee for tickets booked from yesterday.
“The relaxation of commercial policy is available to customers that have a ticket purchased between March 4 and 31, for travel up to and including September 30. Tickets can be reissued up until the day before departure,” the airline said in a statement.
British Airways too is waiving its change fee for travel booked during the next two weeks. The policy will be available for new bookings made between March 3 and 16. The ‘book with confidence’ policy covers all BA routes with changes available right up to departure. Any fare difference due to a date change will still apply.
