VISITORS to the Lowveld in Mpumalanga, including a large number of international tourists, are gathering for a weekend of festivities at the Shangana Cultural Village to celebrate its first birthday.
Since the first birthday is a momentous one in the Shangaan tradition, there will be special festivities on Sunday night, including a huge show with dancers and choirs, followed by a feast after the traditional slaughtering of a cow.
There is limited access to these events and visitors should call the village to book.
