Delta will update its Accra - New York JFK flight schedule to night departures from March 26, 2018, in order to offer its passengers improved connection times on both sides of the Atlantic. The updated schedule will also allow for better connectivity onto Delta’s network in the USA.
The move to night departures will allow passengers a full day in Ghana or the United States before departure. The airline will also increase its schedule from four to five weekly flights on the route from May 31 to August 31.
All flights over the peak summer period are to be operated on a B767-400ER with a total of 245 seats. The additional flight means a total of 1 225 seats will be available weekly on the route.
“While New York is a popular destination for many of our customers, it is also a major gateway for onward travel within the United States,” said Dwight James, Delta’s senior vice president transatlantic. “With 20 percent more capacity next summer and the retiming of the flights, we will provide even more convenient connecting options to the U.S. to cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Washington, Chicago and Los Angeles.”
From March 26, DL220 will depart Accra at 22h00 arriving at JFK 05h17. Return flight DL420 will depart JFK at 23h43 and land in Accra at 13h35 the next day.
