The new Dinosaur Interpretive Centre at the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in Clarens, Free State, is nearing completion.
The R83,5m centre, commissioned by SANParks, is set to be a significant architectural and construction achievement with unique design elements that include exterior patterns that resemble dinosaur scales.
The centre is expected to serve as an interactive museum, as well as a scientific research station, aimed at preserving the remains of the archaeological site where one of the oldest known dinosaur nesting grounds was discovered in 2012.
Inside the centre, visitors can expect to see an exhibition floor and state-of-the-art laboratories.
