Dream Hotels & Resorts (Dream) has signed a partnership deal with Olifants River Lodge in Mpumalanga, incorporating the property into its portfolio of mixed-use holiday accommodation.

“Having acquired 60% of the operating company, our partnership with Olifants River Lodge allows us to assist in growing its local and international sales footprint, distribution network, and marketing channels,” says Brent Dickson, Director of Dream Hotels & Resorts.

“We will also start the process of aligning the property with our management standards, operating procedures and best practice for an improved guest experience.”

Located on the edge of the Great Olifants River on the R555, this Highveld hideaway offers guests a variety of accommodation options – from rustic camping to caravanning or staying in one of the cabins, chalets, or apartments.

As well as providing budget-friendly accommodation for travellers, the property caters for weddings, corporate conferences, team builds, and groups of scholars.

Olifants River Lodge features one of Mpumalanga’s largest conference venues, which can accommodate up to 800 delegates.

Dickson says Dream is looking forward to working closely with Olifants River Lodge. “A huge part of our investment into the property will include funds earmarked for refurbishments over the next 12 to 18 months,” he says, adding that the group expects to start initial upgrades in May this year.
