Princess expands on-board WiFi
PRINCESS Cruises will expand MedallionNet, its high-speed
on-board WiFi, to 15 of its ships by the end of 2020. It will
include the Grand Princess on February 21; the Diamond Princess
on March 15, the Majestic Princess on April 18, the Star Princess
on June 12, and the Sapphire Princess on July 27. MedallionNet
is currently available on Crown Princess and Island Princess,
which will both be based in the UK next year. The enhanced WiFi
will also be available on Sky Princess when the ship launches in
October this year.


Crystal Cruises visits 219 destinations in 2022
CRYSTAL Cruises has unveiled the 2022 itineraries for the Crystal
Symphony and Crystal Serenity, ranging from seven to 19 nights,
and a World Cruise with options of 86 to 116 nights. Crystal
Symphony’s itineraries include Asia Pacific/Southeast Asia,
Europe and the Arabian Peninsula. Crystal Serenity will offer North
and Central America, the Hawaiian islands and the Caribbean.
Destinations will include Le Lavandou, France; Port Royal, Jamaica;
Marina di Carrara, Italy; Celukan Bawang, Bali; and Galle, Sri
Lanka. Autumn and winter sailings will include the Panama Canal,
Costa Rica and Caribbean islands on Crystal Serenity and warm
weather offerings will include St Kitts, St Barts, St Lucia, Grand
Cayman and Puerto Limón.


Namibia inaugurates new port terminal
NAMIBIA has inaugurated a new port terminal at Walvis Bay. It is
expected to provide a vital strategic gateway to emerging markets
in southern and West Africa and will increase annual capacity of the
port from 350 000 containers to 750 000. The US$280m (R4,1bn)
terminal was built by China Harbour Engineering, with funds from
the Namibian government and the African Development Bank.
