Dubai a growing destination for South Africans

THERE has been a 28% increase in arrivals to Dubai from South Africa in 2002 (67 738) compared to 2001 (52 751).
Antoinette Lloyd of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), says the department “is extremely pleased with this increase in figures, showing that Dubai remains a popular destination with the South African market.”
The DTCM maintains that the UAE is a safe country, despite the war in Iraq and Dubai continues operating as normal.
