Emirates - some useful details for repatriation flights

Emirates has distributed a notification to its agent partners confirming repatriation flight meeting points and times in a handy template that the airline encourages agents to attach to their clients’ travel documentation. Passengers are required to do as follows:

COVID-19 test certificate

All passengers arriving in Dubai from any destination, including those connecting in Dubai, must have a negative COVID-19 test certificate before being allowed to board the flight. The test must be taken a maximum of 96 hours before departure. This excludes children under the age of 12 and passengers who have a moderate to severe disability.

Baggage information

Normal baggage allowances apply – economy class two x 23kg pieces and business class two x 32kg pieces. Excess baggage and cabin baggage will not be allowed. Exceptions are permittedf for laptops, handbags, briefcases and baby items.

Travel documentation

Travel health questionnaires are to be completed and presented to the Port Health Authorities.

Ground transport for movement to the airport

As per regulations, all passengers must meet at an assembly point to be transferred to the airport.

Face masks are mandatory.

Bus transfers have been arranged from the Hilton Sandton – 138 Rivonia Road, Sandton.

Meeting time from 11h00. First bus departures from 13h30.
