The Ethiopian Airlines Group has completed the first phase of its five-star Ethiopian Skylight In-Terminal Hotel. The hotel is connected to Terminal 2 at Addis Ababa International Airport and is within a short walk of the departure gates.

Completion of the first phase has opened up 51 rooms for guests. The second phase, which is due to be completed in October, will bring the guest room total to 97. Several room options include an executive suite, a premium room for people with disabilities, 12 interconnected rooms, 30 twin rooms, and 53 double rooms.

The Ethiopian Skylight is an airside transit hotel, catering for travellers and crew who do not wish to leave the airport, providing a convenient travel experience for connecting travellers.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, said: “As a customer-focused airline, we want our passengers to enjoy every minute they spend with us, even their transit hours at the airport. The construction of an In-Terminal Hotel takes transit at Addis Ababa to the next level. It addresses the industry’s demand and leads us to plan and create efficient and seamless connectivity to enhance the comfort of passengers.”
