Etihad Airways and Gulf Air have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU’s scope includes provision for: joint codeshare operations as preferred partners between and beyond hubs; the development of commercial agreements to enhance guests’ experience; and plans to offer reciprocal ‘earn and burn’ on frequent flyer programmes.

Krešimir Kučko, ceo of Gulf Air said: “We look forward to the Etihad and Gulf Air teams coming together during the next few months to look at how we can enact the MoU.”

Gulf Air currently operates four return daily flights between Bahrain and Abu Dhabi while Etihad currently operates three return daily A320 operations on the route.
