Fastjet moves on the GDS

08 Mar 2017

FASTJET is now available on

Amadeus and participates

in Iata’s Billing and

Settlement Plan (BSP).

“Our partnership with

Amadeus is a significant

development for fastjet that

allows us to broaden our

distribution approach to

ensure we reach a wider range

of business and corporate

customers,” says ceo of

fastjet, Nico Bezuidenhout.

Travel agents are now able

to book and pay for fastjet

flights for their clients on the

system.

All the airline’s routes are

now listed on Amadeus,

including its domestic

Tanzanian routes between

Dar es Salaam, Mwanza,

Kilimanjaro and Mbeya, as

well as its international routes

from Tanzania to Lusaka

and Harare, and the routes

from its Zimbabwe base in

Harare to Victoria Falls and

Johannesburg.

Fastjet is not yet available

on Travelport and the

airline could not confirm

if it would join the GDS

company. However, a fastjet

spokesperson said it was

exploring several innovative

ways of distribution, some of

which included moving closer

to the trade.
