First Africa’s Eden regional roadshow set for June

Africa’s Eden’s first regional travel trade roadshow of the year will be hosted in Windhoek, Namibia, on June 1.

Africa’s Eden presents a series of regional roadshows every year in its member countries’ cities (Maun, Windhoek, Lusaka and Harare), in addition to its annual travel show, held at a different destination every year.

The goal of the regional travel trade roadshows is to foster networking and to grow business between Africa’s Eden product members and the travel trade based in regional hubs within Africa’s Eden geographic region (Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe).

“The aim of the regional shows is to give an opportunity to our members to promote their products/services to the regional travel trade. This could include agents who supply their local market or those who cater for inbound travel. So in the case of Windhoek we would principally showcase products from Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Although sometimes our local Namibian members also exhibit,” Africa’s Eden CEO, Jillian Blackbeard, told Travel News.

Due to the limitation on the number of exhibitors, space will be on a first-come first-served basis.

The venue for the roadshow is still to be announced.

Format

The format of the event is a morning session with destination workshops on each of the countries represented by Africa’s Eden that the event is not being hosted in (i.e. Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia), followed by afternoon one-on-one meetings between the products and the buyers in Namibia. The event ends with a networking cocktail session.
