The Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West has reopened under Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio, making it the first property in South Africa under the Tribute Portfolio collection.
Located 45 minutes from Cape Town city centre and 25 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, the hotel provides easy access to wine estates, golf courses, beaches, and cultural landmarks.
It showcases newly landscaped gardens, and stylish spaces with abstract installations and African patterns and motifs throughout the décor.
Each of the 198 guest rooms is designed with emerald-green hues, lounge areas and private outdoor spaces, offering views of the gardens and mountains.
As the third-largest conference venue in the Winelands, it features 11 fully equipped meeting rooms and flexible spaces for up to 500 guests. Event planners are also available to ensure a seamless experience for corporate meetings, weddings, and special occasions.
The hotel features two swimming pools, a fitness centre, three tennis courts, a spa, and a full-service hair salon. The gardens include a dam and private gazebo alongside a stream.
