The Independents Division at Flight Centre Travel Group has announced annual luxury incentives for its top-performing independents. The group has teamed up with Uniworld for the first edition of ‘Independent Icons’, and will be chartering a boutique river cruise ship as a reward for 50 agents.

“This has been in the pipeline for years and it's going to be an event no one will want to miss. We want to give our top travel entrepreneurs an experience of a lifetime,” says Independent Brands GM, Chantal Gouws. “Those that have ever experienced a Flight Centre Global Gathering will know what a phenomenal experience it is, and this incentive is guaranteed to be just that, along with an ultimate luxury experience.”

The independent travel advisers will be chosen based on sales made between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.

Top-performing independents from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada will be invited on the fully-paid cruise onboard SS Beatrice on November 1, along with some key suppliers.

The lucky chosen independents will sail from Budapest to Vienna, enjoying excursions, local entertainment, top-class cuisine and the chance to mingle with their peers from around the world.

“We want to reward our incredible network of independent agents with something truly unique, designed just for them. This luxurious experience will give our top-performing independent agents the opportunity to connect with a selection of key suppliers as well as other like-minded travel entrepreneurs,” says Danielle Galloway, FCTG Independent Global MD.

Every year, the incentive will be in a different location somewhere around the world.
