Flight disruptions in France

Flights to France and across Europe were disrupted on October 10, following a strike by French air traffic controllers. It is unclear how long the strike will go on for.
Flights have been affected in areas such as Paris-Orly, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse in France as well as between France and Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf. France’s directorate general for Civil Aviation says the biggest impact is likely to be in southern areas of France.
According to SAA New Media specialist and manager of external communications in corporate affairs, Sizwe Mdladla, SAA is not expecting any international delays or impacts for international flights. Other airlines are updating their website with information as the strike continues, as delays and last minute cancellations are expected for domestic and European operations.
AirFrance is also offering passengers the chance to change their flight up to and including October 14. Lufthansa is offering affected passengers a refund or a chance to rebook their flights free of charge.
