United Airlines restarted its flights between the US and Cuba last week after an absence of over two and a half years. The carrier now offers daily flights to Havana from both Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston.

The flights are operated by United Airlines’ regional carrier, United Express, using an Embraer E175.

From this month, 147 weekly flights now operate between the US and Cuba – American Airlines (84 flights), JetBlue (20), United Airlines (14), and Southwest Airlines (29).

American Airlines flies from Miami to six points in Cuba – Camagüey; Havana; Holguín; Santiago de Cuba; Santa Clara; and Varadero.

JetBlue flies to Havana from Fort Lauderdale and New York JFK and Southwest flies from Fort Lauderdale and Tampa to Havana.
