Severe smog has affected visibility in northern China, resulting in domestic flights from Harbin Taiping International Airport being cancelled or postponed.
The density of the particulate matter used as an indicator of air quality was more than 24 times higher than the level considered safe by the World Health Organisation.
Airlines such as SAA, Emirates and BA have not announced any operational disruptions but it is advised that agents and travellers monitor flights.
Beijing has not been affected.
It is unclear how long the smog will last.
