The popular seaside resort of Acapulco has been hit by flooding and landslides after Tropical Storm Manuel battered Mexico's southwestern Pacific coast yesterday. Acapulco airport and the motorway between Mexico City and Acapulco have been closed as a result of heavy rain.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Ingrid is due to make landfall on the country’s opposite coast today. A hurricane warning is in effect from Cabo Rojo to La Pesca.
