THE newly elected executive committee for the Zululand Business Against Crime Tourism Safety Task Team (BACTSTT) has launched a drive to educate the community at grassroots level about the benefits of tourism for the community.
According to secretary of the BACTSTT, Bernadine Wright, unemployed youths and street vendors are identified for the four-hour training course.
"Once they complete the course, they in turn can educate other members of the community."
Other exco members of the committee are Luc Christen, general manager of the Karos Richards Hotel in Richards Bay as chairman, and Sue Duckles as vice-chairperson.
