Getmyboat offers travel agent commissions

Global boat rental platform Getmyboat has launched a new programme in partnership with affiliate service specialist Rakuten, which allows travel agents to earn a commission on boat rentals.

The company, which started in 2013, has over 170 000 options in 184 countries and is the world’s largest boat rental marketplace. Rental options range from kayaks to motorboats and sailboats.

“This programme will foster connections between Getmyboat and top travel professionals, providing mutual benefits and promoting growth across the board,” said Val Strief, Marketing Manager for Getmyboat.

The global programme is available for South African travel agents and, according to Strief, after signing up free with Rakuten, “we can approve you as an affiliate, and from there, you can generate your custom links to add to your website”. “Through those links, you can book your clients’ boating experiences on the Getmyboat platform and earn a commission on each booking.”

Content creators, bloggers and travel booking companies are also invited to join the programme.
