Serena Hotels and Resorts is set to open the five-star Goma Serena Hotel in Northern Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo early next year.
Each of the rooms in the 109-room hotel will have a view of Lake Kivu, the eighth largest lake in Africa.
Facilities will include a business lounge and boardrooms for business travellers, an Olympic-size swimming pool and spa.
Nearby attractions include Lake Kivu, Virunga National Park, Kahuzi-Biega National Park and Mount Nyiragongo. Goma Airport is a 10-minute drive of the property.
