Railbookers has expanded its luxury tour offering into Southern Africa, with 11 new rail itineraries that showcase South Africa’s luxury Blue Train and Rovos Rail.

The train journeys are 9-23 days, and explore attractions in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Ethiopia. The Blue Train operates some itineraries within South Africa, while Rovos Rail operates others both within South Africa and on routes extending into Southern and East Africa.

The itineraries of the two operators include excursions to Cape Town’s Bo-Kaap and Table Mountain, the Victorian village of Matjesfontein, the Big Hole and Diamond Museum in Kimberley, Kruger National Park (game drives) and Madikwe Game Reserve, tours of the Victoria Falls and its bridge, walks to the rock pools of the Chisimba Falls in Northern Zambia, and a visit to the Kariakoo Market and National Museum in Dar es Salaam.

"We're seeing high demand for South Africa rail vacations," said Jim Marini, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Railbookers. "Our experts have crafted comprehensive itineraries to showcase the best of South Africa's luxury trains and destinations."
