Heathrow is restarting its Fast Track security service for the first time since it was suspended in 2020.

Fast Track allows passengers to pre-book one-hour slots to go through security for £12,50 (R297) per person. The service became available again on June 1 and can be booked through the Heathrow website here: https://www.heathrow.com/at-the-airport/airport-services/fast-track. Passengers can book slots until midday the day before a flight.

Fast Track can be used by any departing passenger with no cabin or flight restrictions. It is yet to be made available for connecting passengers or arrivals. Bookings can be amended or refunded if a flight is cancelled or delayed.

Business and first-class passengers and members of airline frequent flier programmes are eligible for Fast Track without needing to pay the extra amount. Participating airlines include British Airways, Emirates, Egyptair, Etihad, Kenya Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
