A number of heavy hitters from the hospitality and related sectors will be present as panellists at this year’s Hospitality Optimisation Forum, to be held October 26 in Johannesburg at the Protea Hotel Wanderers.

These include Kamil Abdul-Karrim, MD of Pam Golding Tourism & Hospitality Consulting; Neil Hughes, MD of Providence Hospitality; Mike Pownall, MD of VALOR Hospitality, and Geri Flanagan, Development Manager Accor SSA.

They will discuss, amongst others, a comprehensive view of the current market and trading conditions in SA, looking at whether hoteliers are all commercially ready post COVID and some of the key pointers to be considering in this new operating environment.

Panellists will further offer advice on independent versus branded versus blended hotels.

“The purpose of this event is to give the industry some practical applications to all of the data and performance KPI’s being thrown our way. Deciphering these details is, after all, what is important to moving forward with confidence,” said Hughes, of independent hospitality management company Providence Hospitality, which is organising and hosting the event.

“We are expecting between 150 and 200 industry leaders and developers to attend this important half-day meeting of the hospitality industry,” he noted.
