Hilton set to open upscale Nairobi hotel

Following the announcement of major expansion plans across the globe – including southern and east Africa – Hilton has revealed it will open a new hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, early next year.

Located in the central business district of the capital, Kwetu Nairobi, Curio Collection by Hilton, will offer upscale city accommodation for business and leisure travellers.

In Swahili, ‘Kwetu’ means ‘our home’ – the home-away-from-home experience guests can expect from this much-anticipated hotel, notes a Hilton spokesperson.

The property will feature 102 rooms in five interconnected blocks that overlook a peaceful forested landscape. Each block will come complete with its own private butler to cater for guests’ needs.

With a variety of dining options on offer, such as a speciality restaurant with a seasonal concept menu and a rooftop bar with stunning views, the hotel offers guests a contemporary African experience.

Exact opening dates have yet to be confirmed.
