Holiday Tours not related to Holiday Holdings

Following the announcement of the recent closure of Holiday Tours, it seems the industry is  confused about the relationship with Holiday Holdings International.

Gavin Simpson, CEO of Holiday Holdings, clarified the situation, saying: “Holiday Holdings sold Holiday Tours (wholesale) and Holiday Travel (retail) to Comair approximately seven years ago. Those two companies that were previously within the Holiday Holdings Group, have had no connection whatsoever with Holiday Holdings, or its APG South Africa and Holiday Aviation subsidiaries, since that time. After the demise of Comair, Holiday Tours and Holiday Travel were acquired by an independent investor. Those businesses then relocated to Holiday House in Randburg.

“Holiday Holdings, Holiday Aviation and APG South Africa are therefore not in any way connected with, or affected by, the demise of Holiday Tours. Holiday Holdings, Holiday Aviation and APG continue to serve the travel trade, and to collectively provide outsourcing services and local solutions to more than 20 international airline clients through their city and airport offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Mauritius.”
