Hurricane season: FCO issues travel alert for Caribbean

The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office has issued a
hurricane warning to holidaymakers in and travelling to the Caribbean for later
this week.

Hurricane Isaac is forecast to reach the Caribbean on or
around Thursday, September 13, affecting regions including Barbados, the
Dominican Republic, St Lucia, Haiti, Grenada and the British Virgin Islands.

Travellers are urged to keep abreast of local and
international weather updates from the US National Hurricane Centre as well as
information regarding possible evacuations.

Travellers who need urgent help from the UK government are
encouraged to contact the nearest British Embassy, Consulate or High Commission.
