Indian Consulate responds to e-visa booking challenges

19 Oct 2018 - by Savannah Freemantle

Agents have reported that clients have faced technical
difficulties when applying for an Indian e-visa over the last few days.

eTNW understands
that when clients attempted to submit their details they were told the URL was
not responding.

The Indian Consulate confirmed that there was no manual
method for application and that clients would only be able to apply for a visa
online.

The Consulate told eTNW
that the e-visa application system was managed in India and that they were
unable to explain the reason for the technical difficulties. However, they
apologised for the inconvenience and recommended that clients re-attempt the
application as they believed the technical issue would be resolved shortly.

eTNW will update readers on further developments.
